I may talk to the manager.  Was it there responsibility though to tell me I 
needed to buy a pair of matched sticks to go in there or that I should 
remove the old? Or are they just doing what I asked, to install a stick of 
memory.  I cant recall where the old sticks were before I took it in.  But I 
will try and at least get my money back and dare I let them uninstall the 
stick?  ;0
