It depends on your drive and maybe the CDVDBurn config. Have you created
your own driver definition file for your specific drive, or are you
relying in the defaults?
I can't be sure, but I think I recall - many years ago - tweaking and
experimenting with the driver details I was using at the time. But I don't
know if that would apply now. Indeed for some years I used an old !CDBurn
version for CDs and !DVDBurn for DVDs. Again, I can't now recall when ir
why.
But I am currently trying to use !CDVDBurn in a 2.09s (2010-09-22) Beta
testers version you would have sent to me at the time. That said, its a
long time since I've tried to write an audio CDR!
Do TAO and DAO fail?
If I simulate I get:
DAO = "Drive reports an illegal request..." and am told to check the
current reader/writer model.
If I then try:
TAO = "Audiolayout contains too much data..." and I'm told to reduce the
number of tracks to get below 74min. *However* the main Audio CD window
shows that the tracks actually total 45:19. So are already well below
74mins.
The drive is SCSI. And seems to be correctly be detected and selected by
!CDVDBurn. The namestring listed, etc, agree with the results of some CD
probe programs I wrote a few years ago.
I have a version from 2010, but although this scans for and finds my
drive, it then refuses to burn a disc. I'm not sure if this is because
I need to alter some settings or if it can't work for some other
reason.
We won't know unless we try a few things.
There is a new test version currently circulating amongst selected
testers with an aim to properly support Titanium S-ATA as well as ARMv8
(Pi3). If you (or anyone) want to have a go testing, mail me.
I'd be happy to try that if it may help. But I guess your initial reaction
is correct and the driver details aren't right for my system.
