Arachne at FreeLists---The Arachne Fan Club! Hi Lester, Your welcome...and now that you know how it works you can set it up any way that works best for you. Just a comment... If you you put CDA.BAT in your PATH, then you can use it from the command prompt when you're in DOS. It will return you to D:\arc\ from wherever you are. That's why I suggested puting it in D:\arc\. I assume D:\arc\ is in your path, right? There are many, many, times that I want to return to my Arachne main directory and do something before I start up Arachne and I use CDA.BAT for that. I, also, keep copies of several batch files on the floppies I use to load Arachne to my RAM drive. Those .bat files get loaded whenever I boot up Arachne as part of the install of Arachne to the RAM drive..
