You are not limited in the amount of content that can be delivered. You are only limited in the number of channels that can be delivered in real time. The multiplier effect of downloading to cache is the great equalizer. You may be able to fill up 40 channels with decent content during prime time, but not 24/7. 2, Your not going to take back 100% market share. At best , broadcasters may be able to get 30-40% of homes; to be economically viable as a multi-channel competitor, 30% would be fantastic. There will be all kinds of reasons why people will continue to subscribe to cable and DBS. Based on current cable/DBS stats, less than 1/3 of the audience subscribes to premium services. That means that 2/3s could find a broadcast multi-channel alternative interesting. If digital broadcasters get half of those homes, they have > 30% market share.
