Hi, all.

I have just submitted The Other Side of Love by Jacqueline Briskin to the step
one page. Whoever validates it needs to change the spelling of the author's
first name in the author and copyright holder fields, as I inadvertently
spelled it "Jacquelyn" instead of "Jacqueline".

The scan is clean, but it has a ton of German words. Therefore, the rank
spelling rating is quite low. As always, if you have questions, feel free to
contact me at:

Happy validating. You'll find the synopsis below.

Jacqueline Briskin's stunning new blockbuster, The Other Side of Love, sweeps
the reader up in the lives of four cousins-members of the privileged Kingsmith
dynasty-who are united by blood, family allegiance, and irresistible desires
but are torn apart by the bitter hatreds of World War II and its aftermath.

War clouds already hover above the 1936 Olympics in Berlin as the American,
English, and German branches of the Kingsmith family come together to cheer on
two of the clan, Kathe, competing for Nazi Germany, and Wyatt, representing the
United States. Here, for the first time, all four Kingsmith cousins meet. And
here begins the drama of their intertwined destinies that will cross two
continents' and span the most tumultuous era of modern times.

Kathe. The family's lithe golden girl, born into a dominant German family on
her mother's sidelbut with a British father, she falls irrevocably in love with
Wyatt, a ldve that must sustain her as she makes the terrifying choice of where
her loyalties truly lie.

Wyatt. The dashing, forceful New York law student women can't resist, he seals
his love for Kathe by confiding the secret of his Jewish heritage. Her seeming
betrayal drives him to the other side of love-and into another woman's bed.

Araminta. The free-spirited, sensual beauty who relishes the thrills and
pleasures of life: she can't forget that her grandmother was a charwoman and
that the aristocratic RAF officer she adores might seduce her but never marry
her.

Aubrey. The bookish, quietly courageous English cousin: he will recruit Kathe
into the hazardous game of espionage and become increasingly obsessed with
her...with a raw, passionate hunger that will demand the most unbearable
sacrifice of all.

The four cousins, each engaged in private battles, will soon be caught up in
the urgency of nations locked in a blood-soaked death struggle, in the urgency
of passions that flame for a night, only to end amid gunfire in the morning.

From the United States and England's highest circles of power to the nightmare
landscape of Germany's Third Reich, The Other Side of Love is a bold testament
to the resilience of the human spirit and to one woman's strength, a compelling
story vibrant with unforgettable characters who capture our imagination and
haunt our dreams.
