I have replied "back-channel" to Ryuji, and I hope that this will bring  
this particular sub-thread to a close. (When I replied directly, to  
this same message, I was unaware that this had also been sent to the  
group. I told Ryuji that he was free to share my reply if he thought it  
appropriate.) I'm stopping here.
