No, I don't need both the 5160 and the 2180 on this computer. They are both
all-in-one printers, except that the 5160 adds faxing capabilities and an
automatic sheet feeder.
The 5160 was supposed to replace the 2180 on this printer, and I was going
to move the 2180 to a different computer.
Apparently, I should have removed and uninstalled the 2180 before installing
the 5160. I was not aware of the need to do so.
I have other computers with up to three printers that coexist without any
problems.
Perhaps if I had installed a printer from a different manufacturer, I may
have thought twice about it. However, both the 5160 and the 2180 are HP
printers. It never occurred to me that HP would conflict with HP.
The problem is clearly that the guys who write the HP drivers don't talk to
each other!
