Yes, Hugh, I found a smaller install on the HP site. I'm downloading both
the 5610 full install and the Basic Features drivers from HP right now.
However, I'll need assistance from you and the other PCWorkers on installing
the Basic Features driver.
After all, it will be installed on top of the defective full install, which
was installed on top of the HP 2810 driver. Won't that further compound the
mess?

The HP site says,
"The Basic Feature drivers are intended for home users who want a basic
print and scan driver to use with their HP All-in-One device. This software
installation can be used on PCs that do not meet the minimum system
requirements necessary to install the HP Full/Express Feature
software/drivers."
Does that mean that the Basic Features driver will not support my fax?
Furthermore, my PC does meet the minimum requirements for the driver. The
problem is not my system. The problem is HP's driver.

This is very confusing.
