Cristy,
    I knew this was going to be a monster of a project long before the 
realization hit you, but that's part of the fun of this stuff.  As you 
progress, you'll be able to see where you are with things and your skills 
will improve dramatically over a short amount of time (in fact, they already 
have).  Giving yourself time to get used to the program is why I originally 
suggested that you work on the lesson tapes first, before attacking the live 
performances.

    Because cassette tapes suffer the loss of magnetic particles every time 
they're played, the age of the tapes as well as the amount of time since the 
last time they were played does dictate that you get them onto your hard 
drive first (and in the best possible shape) before doing anything else to 
them.  So, it appears you're doing things in the right order.           :O)
