As I mentioned previously, they could create a conventional matrix correction 
for
a particular meter instance to display type (just like an Argyll .ccmx).
Yes, that would have been it.
Just for educational purposes, are the file formats of .edr, .ccss and .ccmx files documented somewhere? The http://www.argyllcms.com/doc/File_Formats.html says a lot but not all. For instance .ccmx hold a 3x3 correction matrix, but how is that interpreted?
