No 'sorry' needed Eric, everything you say is quite true. But that's 
what I was saying in my last post --
people cling to what they know even if letting go of what they know
is the only way forward. To try keeping Arachne alive it was necessary to
cut out the bad design that infected the old distro, inconvinient as
that might be. Going for surgery to remove a tumor is inconvenient too,
but since the alternative is death, most folks go for the surgery. 
It's sorta the same with Arachne, she will die for lack of needed surgery --
or rather she will die for lack of people who are willing to make the
switch to a distro that has had the surgery and is now healthy -- because
making the switch is inconvenient. 

Ah well, at least Bastiaan likes it :-)

One thing tho -- no need to worry about 'constant change' now since
it's dead in the water. Dead software has the wonderful virtue of
not 'constantly changing' doesn't it?
