All, I did not suggest that we share every little incident, what I suggested is= that we share our hazard logs and the outcomes of incidents/accidents=2E I have to be honest that I do see a little bit of "sticking ones head in the sand" in the reaction to Barry's original post=2E How are we to be seen as a society/federation if Society A has an incident= where somebody is hurt, yet there is no formal method of sharing that around other socities to make sure that they don't have the same set of conditions that caused it and a fortnight later, the same incident occurs at Society B=2E Yes we have slow moving trains, but my Bagnall (1/3 ton) plus 12 adults (approx=2E 1 ton) even at 5mph takes a lot of stopping and whilst most injuries won't be fatal, they could lead to a broken arm/leg=2E As I said in my first post, a number of respondents have immediately latched onto the "safety police" fearing a lot more rules and regulations=2E= =20 I fear that if we DON'T do something as a group/federation as show ourselves to be demonstrably dilligent (and the key word in demonstrable) then the safety police will justifiably take a greater interest in one we do (as we are seen as not managing it ourselves)=2E Right 23:43 in the UK, breakfast time in Japan!
