Look around. The sidewalk in need of shoveling, someone who looks hungry.
A small gesture of kindness. Go out there and be the gift.
Speaker #1. Susie Minskey. Choices
This is the last blanket my mom made before she died. Blanket was made for
grandchild. Mom's job was done. She took care of grandfather, father.
She felt she was not needed anymore. Three different versions of mother's
condition in tiny hospital room. Holding off for tiny miracle. If roles
were reversed what would mom do? She would let us go. Mom passed one
month before 68th birthday. Memory of blanket will live forever.

describe the truth in the fortune.

Sharing comes from the heart.

scratching door getting attention. Got on my lab and purrs like a race

something you can achieve. New Years resolution to be more introspective,

5. Alan Wong. By playing fairly, your always a winner. Husband wants
a playstation 4. Wife gives him a framed picture of their first date.
It's ok because he got her a playstaion 4. Always a winner.
6. Jason Marine. It's exciting and fun to watch different sports.
Electric skateboard. Daughter in cowboy boots rode it. Felt like a kid
again. Goes 8 miles on a charge and can go 20 mph.
7. Susie Minskey. Let your imagination fly like birds in the sky.
Dream to be a published author. To help people.. I'm a survivor.
8. Ray Pezolt. You are liked by people young and old. 2 weeks ago on
a job. Guy rides up on an electric skateboard. What do you do when it
snows? Snow tires.
9. Katelynn Stoll. You appreciate what other do for you. Most of the
time I do appreciate. This is presumptuous of the cookie that I
appreciate.

Fruitcake is Dirk's tradition and it was the best fruitcake I've ever
tasted.

Evaluator #1. Alan Wong on Susie. Objective emotional speech. Sadness,
death, mom. Good description of hospital room. Nice prop with blanket.
Too many characters and not enough character development. Would love to
hear more about the blanket and mom. Met objectives. Very good story.
Evaluator #2. Lori High on Ray. Technical points. 24 time zones.
Impressed with mathematical creativity. Fun speech with lots to ponder.
Great transition of slides. Incredible power point presentation. Extra
points for creativity. Only critique is having a 12 word title.
Evlaluator #3. Jonathan Kolber on Kirk. Dirk craftily got me drunk on his
fruit cake. Incredible opening, counterpoint with your own slides.
Population reference. Santa precreation units. ADU - priceless. Can
Santa Deliver? Put this on U Tube. Vary pitch, pauses, use more stage
presence.
Ribbon Winners: Best Table Topics: Jason Marine
Best Evalutor: Lori High and Jonathan Kolber
Best Speech: Dirk Kittredge
There were ten members and no guests. Congratulations to all the ribbon
winners. All the speeches were very good. Rays speech is a tradition but
Dirk's rebuttal had that little extra in extraordinary. Table topics from
Robin were creative and fun. Everyone loves fortune cookies. I'm always
impressed when the table topics theme relates to the toastmasters theme.
Tells me thought went into it. Like Dirk said in his email, it was a small
group but it was fun and interactive. You really Should've been there.

My recaps are winding down and I'm going to miss my times recapping the
meeting. As I read over my own recaps, it always reminds me what a good
time I had. I hope that you've enjoyed reading the recaps as much as I've
enjoyed writing them.
One last quote to end the years. Everyone should smile. Life really is
not that serious. We make it hard. The sun rises. The sun sets. We just
tend to complicate the process.
