Approximately 4300 toastmaster members. Only 215 are DTM. Front Range
Toastmasters has 5 DTM. Kathy Barrett being our latest DTM member.

WOD: Fortitude. Courage in pain or adversity. Becoming a DTM takes
great dedication and fortitude.
Timer/Joker: Shirley Eaves
Charlotte N.C. A man purchased rare and expensive cigars. He purchased
insurance from an insurance company to insure his cigars. Policy to
include fire. Man filed a claim in that he lost all his cigars to small
fires. Claim was denied and the Man sued the insurance company. The suit
stated that the clause did not specify "fire" and the Man won the suit.
After cashing his $15K check, the insurance company convicted the Man of
intentionally burning his insured property and the insurance company filed
for 24 counts of arson. 24 months in jail and $24K fine.

Dirk started Toastmasters in 1991. It took Dirk 18 years to get his DTM.
Only 5% have DTM. Our club is at 18%. Anna came with Kathy to join
toastmasters. Anna did most of the talking and Kathy said nothing. Anna
stopped coming but Kathy kept coming back and now she has her DTM. Tonight
Kathy inspires me.

Be like KB, get your DTM. Communication and leadership track.
Communication track has four components. CC, ACB, ACS, and ACG. The
leadership track is CL, ALB, and ALS. All this adds up to DTM.

Really? Ever been in an uncomfortable conversation, like where you want to
bathe your cat? THAKORA drug. Side effect; sing like a rock star in table
topics. Copy Kath. Act like Kath. Don't do drugs.

1. Katelynn Stoll. Q: What can you do to help mentor people in your
organization? A: One on one's. Giving everyone time to talk, build trust
and relationships.
2. Jeff Stoll. Q: KB loves Christmas. What are some of the ways KB can
take Christmas to the next level? A: Single but I know a guy is hanging
out with you. Green guy, the Grinch.
3. Adam Vesely. Q: KB loves the Broncos. What new sport should Kathy be
following instead of football? A: Good alcohol. Bottomless Molasses.
4. Robin McIntosh. Q: If you were a dentist, how would you improve
patient care? A: Do what Alan does. Put on listening device, glasses.
Listens to what you want. If your ok with losing your teeth, he's ok with
you losing your teeth.
5. Dirk Kittredge. Q: If you job moves you to St. Louis, how would you
get your loved ones to move with you? A: Walk to St. Louis. Buy a little
lemon sports car.
6. Jason Marine. Q: What is the worse thing about Colorado and how would
you fix it? A: Sub zero degrees where locks of doors are frozen. Face is
frozen. KB is a warm greeting.
7. Jennifer Dunne. Q: What are some things employers do to make
employees more loyal? A: Hire only Golden Retrievers and German
Shepard's, or hire people like Kathy.
8. Alan Wong. Q: Tell us a good habit of yours where we can incorporate
into our lives. A: Loyalty. Quality friends over quantity. Make
everyday so full, your always late.
9. Shirley Eaves. Q: If your the president of a fortune 500 company,
what are your priorities? A: Success is people who work for you.

Evaluator #1. Jonathan Kolber on Colette
Got message across. Good delivery and good projection. Hands illustrated
key points. Improvement - be attune with where the projector is.
Suggestion - use slides. Strong close and empahsis.
Evaluator #2. Luis Estrada on Russ
Good humor. Delivery was great. Good pauses. Bottle of pills, always
something. Hands were down almost all the time. If move hands, move with
purpose.
Alan Wong on Jonathan - Great sandwich method. Good praises with
improvement in the middle. On Luis - Don't do drugs is memorable. Pointed
out humor and props.
Ah Counter: Robin McIntosh. Distracted by KB on what was going on. No
Wizard of Ahs. Adam and Jennifer were spotless.
Grammarian: Jennifer Dunne. Colette - Mac Daddy of all. Russ - Poop
pants. Alan - we soldier on. Jonathan - Majesty of DTM process.

There 16 members and no guests. Lori High was a wonderful host as
toastmasters. Colette described DTM perfectly. Russ was humorous as he
usually is. The drinks and cake were delicious during the break. The
meetings are always a little extra special when there's food. Table Topics
questions were fun and entertaining. Congratulations to all the ribbon
winners.
And tonight really was all about KATHY. By the end of the meeting she had
tears in her eyes as she adjourned the meeting. I was in the back of the
room and I was not able to tell if she had something in her eyes or if they
were tears of joy. I'm thinking joy. From the entire club and myself,
CONGRATULATIONS on your DTM Kathy. It really was all about you today.
