Timer/Joker: Katelynn Stoll. A group of 3rd graders took a trip to the
Police station and there was a bulletin board with the most wanted
criminals on it. One of the students asked why didn't you keep them in
here when you took their picture?
Inspiration: Adam Vesely. Jake Olson loved sports, foot ball in
particular. Attended Lutheran High School. And is on the football team
for the USC Trojans. Long Snapper. Helped to win the game. At 10 months
old, lost left eye to cancer. Right eye had to be removed later. Jake is
not just a blind person but also a USC football player.
Speaker #1. Jennifer Dunne. The True Enemy.
Went swimming in the afternoon. Sharp stabbing pain on the side. Maybe
it's cramps from lunch? Bottom of bathing suit soaked with blood. Scene
from Zombie Apocalypse. Diagnosed with uterine cancer. The mind sorts the
threats. Eaten by a shark or bleed to death? More scared of sharks.
Overly emotional, Doctor will treat you like a child. Rational brain in
control, Doctor will treat you like an adult. Take out of victim mentality
and into warrior mentality. I want to be partners in treatment and
recovery. Let's Learn.

Telephone with mom. Stressed. Dating losers. Looking for someone
educated and smart. Birthday weekend. Rented a limo. Cousins one year
old birthday party. Two birthday parties to attend. 5 hours of helping to
cook and smelling like food. Party bus with Michelle and 12 people.
Michelle wants to leave and bar hop. Drunk and exhausted. Talked to a
cute guy. Celebrating one year anniversary.
Speaker #3. Pattie Apple. Take care of the skillet.
I love my iron skillet. Give it TLC. Season it. Steel wool in hot
water. Do not wash it with soap. Dry it really well. Oven to 350
degrees. Cook skillet for two hours. Let cool. Repeat process three
times. Healthier than Teflon coated pans.

1. Dirk Kittredge. What things in life should always be free? A:
Toastmasters. Is speaking not free? Is hearing not free? $69.00 is cheap.
2. Kathy Barrett. What is your favorite fictional character? A: Dog,
miniature dachshund, 7 weeks old. Cutest dog, obedience school.
3. Jonathan Kolber. What did you do last week that was memorable? A:
Delivered first professional speech by Skype. Make eyes really big. Stare
at the camera, makes people think your talking to them.
4. Adam Vesely. In what way are you your own worse enemy? A: Over
analyze myself. Work, personal relationships. Nit picking. Driving home
from toastmasters, I could have done better with table topics. Maybe make
more eye contact with Jennifer.
5. Alan Wong. Who do you turn to when you need good advice? A: Friends
I grew up with. Robin is one of them. What is the question? The answer
probably should be my wife.
6. Jason (guest). What is your favorite time of year? A: Beginning of
summer. Appreciate where we live.
7. Mareitta Farrington. What bad habits do you want to break? A: My
perfectionist. I put my heart into it. Too many details, get lost in
time. End of day, nobody cares.
8. Lori High. What is something you've always wanted since you were a
child? A: Bucket list started ten years ago. More fit to hike. Better
mind set. Going kicking and screaming. Age gracefully.

#1 Evaluator: Luis Estrada on Jennifer.
Health we don't think about until something hurts. Took us to "what if".
Body language as needed. Facts on how brain works. Good humor. Good
pauses, no notes. Voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
#2 Evaluator: Jeff Stoll on Richa.
Story with a point. Several elements with good description. I like food,
great food descriptions. Samosa! Good use of phones, different color
phone with each character.
#3 Evaluator: Alan Wong on Pattie.
Good use of prop with skillet. Blackest pan I've ever seen. Great
descriptions with Crispy hash browns and Chewy bacon. Too much work for me
to own a skillet but the speech does make me want to own one. (anymore TLC
with the skillet making dinner, I'd go on a date and take the skillet out
to dinner).
Bill Farrand evaluating the evaluators:
1. Luis Estrada: Spoke to Jennifer exclusively, try speaking more to the
general audience. Good constructive comments.
2. Jeff Stoll: Good evaluation. Speech recap. Work on speech mechanics
and objectives.
3. Alan Wong: Humor, excellent evaluation. If I did not give a good
evaluation, Pattie had the skillet in hand. (that's motivation to give a
good evaluation).
Meeting started on time. Love to make fun of Robin because there's a
lot to make fun of. Slow in calling back from break. This is really
unforgivable. Jonathan no word of the day. Jennifer should drive home
without him.
Grammarian: Jonathan Kolber. Cause versus Because. Missing words like 16
42 sec. Should be 16 minutes and 42 seconds. Contractions. wanna, gonna,
nothin.

Robin - cool with hands. Jennifer - left to right with "what if". Hand up
with crazy women. Richa - knocking on door and time line left to right.
Patti - great move holding pan up. Adam - going backwards and clasping
hands near sternum, unnatural. Lori - checking boxes.

There were 17 members and 2 guests in attendance. Robin was an
amazing toastmasters because he's entertaining and he's very likeable. He
kept the meeting moving along. Apparently not as well according to Bill.
Everyone participated and the energy of the meeting was awesome. Table
Topics questions from Ray were outstanding.
Ribbon winners. Best Speech, Jennifer Dunne. (shine on batshit
diamond, and any brighter I'll have to wear sun glasses during the
meeting). Best Table Topics: Dirk Kittredge. Best Evaluator: Alan
