Hi,
after some thought and having spent much time on searching for a nice
CMS and watching other CMSes I think that we should stop waiting and
just go with Plone 2.5. The latest release adds nice caching, so it's
more responsive and faster. The only real issue with Plone is the
*slightly* too overloaded interface when logged it. This can be solved
by writing a new skin, but we could as well just accept that it has a
few more buttons and keep our modifications as simple as possible.
Michael, could you please install Plone on our server? I will then
start doing a few minor customizations and write the new website's
content. Later, I will add single-sign-on for Trac (there already is
some Trac plugin for this).
If someone would like to write a nice skin for us, please shout.
Otherwise, we'll probably stay with the default skin.
I don't want to wait, anymore. Michael, I'll take the responsibility
for the whole website (Trac and Plone), so you don't have to bother
about Plone being a monster.
