PA Wilds Artisan Initiative holds ?Meet & Greet? event at Gateway
Lodge-Artisans, retailers interested in joining Artisan Trail encouraged to
attend free event.  Artists and retail shops involved in the Pennsylvania
Wilds Artisan Trail and those interested in learning more about it are
invited to attend a fun, informative ?Meet & Greet? event at the Gateway

Alzheimer?s Association Support Group Meeting ? DuBois Public Library, the

most well-attended support group in the area.

 

Sunny 106 and News-Talk Radio WCED announce the 2011 Pittsburgh Pirates
Caravan is back and will be stopping Tuesday, January 25th for autographs
from 6:30-8:00pm at the DuBois Mall. Players, coaches and announcers will
include: Jeff Banister, Neil Walker, Joel Hanrahan, Jose Tabata and Greg

Kirk and Unju Jolly at the DuBois Area Historical Society?s Annual Dinner,
Thursday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Ft. Worth Restaurant in DuBois.  The cost

GED Test Registration and the first night of testing will be held on Monday,
February 28th and the second night of testing on Tuesday, March 1st. All
first time testers must attend the Monday night orientation session. Both
sessions begin at 5:30 PM. Individuals must be 18 years of age or older and
must have PA issued photo identification. Pre-registration packets can be
obtained by contacting the Evening School Office. Interested individuals

Downtown DuBois Revitalization Groups Offering Engraved Bricks Downtown -
Interested in owning a piece of history?  The Downtown DuBois Revitalization
Group has recently implemented a program to sell engraved bricks to generate
revenues for the sustainability of the revitalization program.  To be
installed on North Brady Street at the sight of the downtown kiosk, each
brick paver is 4? x 8? and will be engraved with up to two lines (14
characters per line).  The cost for each brick is $75.00.  Anyone may
purchase bricks to engrave with their own names or the names of the members
of their immediate families. You may also want to purchase bricks in the
names of your children and grandchildren, laying the groundwork for younger
generations of your family to become part of the history of Downtown DuBois.
Even further, you may choose to bricks as memorials, inscribing them in
memory of loved ones whose lives were touched in some way by DuBois.  When
completed, it will serve as a permanent piece of sacred, historic Downtown
DuBois and will be visible to thousands of visitors each year. In addition,
you?ll also receive a beautiful certificate of recognition, suitable for

Headline Comedians are $15 per person-no tickets will be sold at door, so

a 50/50 drawing  and Chinese Auction.  Proceeds benefit 2011 Alzheimer?s

Children?s Aid Society in Clearfield County will be holding an adoption
informational session at Penn State DuBois on March 1, 2011. The adoption
information session will be held at the Hiller Building, Quiet Lounge, from
6:00pm to 8:00pm.  Anyone interested in adopting children from the
State-wide Adoption Network is invited to attend. Also, information on
private adoption and international adoption will be available.

The American Cancer Society Daffodil Days are coming soon and volunteers are
needed:  Presale Coordinators are needed to take orders within their
Business/Company/Church in February.  Then submit to the American Cancer
Society.  Orders will be delivered during Daffodil Week ? March 14 ? 20,
2011.  Volunteers are needed to assist with selling Daffodils at locations
throughout Clearfield County during Daffodil week (March 14 ? 20, 2011).
Materials and instructions will be provided.  Volunteers just show up at
their confirmed time.
