For further information call Jodi August at 375-9100. Downtown DuBois Revitalization Groups Offering Engraved Bricks Downtown - Interested in owning a piece of history? The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group has recently implemented a program to sell engraved bricks to generate revenues for the sustainability of the revitalization program. To be installed on North Brady Street at the sight of the downtown kiosk, each brick paver is 4" x 8" and will be engraved with up to two lines (14 characters per line). The cost for each brick is $75.00. Anyone may purchase bricks to engrave with their own names or the names of the members of their immediate families. You may also want to purchase bricks in the names of your children and grandchildren, laying the groundwork for younger generations of your family to become part of the history of Downtown DuBois. Even further, you may choose to bricks as memorials, inscribing them in memory of loved ones whose lives were touched in some way by DuBois. When completed, it will serve as a permanent piece of sacred, historic Downtown DuBois and will be visible to thousands of visitors each year. This is the prime time of the year to witness otter activity. Chances are good to observe otter sign such as slides, tracks, and carp kills along the banks of the river.
