Do you have a specific situation with a problem? If so, to answer the question one would have to know what equipment is used, how it is connected, the quality of the source, etc, none of which you provided. If you want specific advice, give some specific info. Both Jeff and I answered with the typical reasons that these situstions occur. No way to be more specific without the details of the installation. In the case of CBS, there have been lots of complaints about their sports coverage, likely because the cameras that they use vary in quality greatly. With basketball, there are particular challenges with lighting and camera placement in general. Bottom line is, lousy sources look like crap on higher resolution systems and upconversion schemes are often pretty crappy. It can be mitigated with the advice that we gave. Leonard G.
