I'm not really sure how this appeared on my screen, but it did. The separate statement of Commissioner Jonathan S. Adelstein (former Daschle aide) in ET Docket 04-186 (in part): "Television broadcasts are viewed by people as perhaps the most sacred use of public spectrum. Their TV is not to be trifled with. We will hear an earful from consumers if this is not done right." Commissioner Adelstein is not a particular fan of broadcasting. He offered this in the context of interference. Those rabid anti-broadcasting critics on this list should note: it's not the broadcasters who you are really attacking: it's the majority of viewers, who you believe should not have access to free TV. Note "most sacred use." Eddie Fritts of the NAB could not have said it better.
