Day Island part of Alton-Baker river park had the best bird for us the first 
thing: one beautiful Varied Thrush, before we walked away from the parking lot. 
 There was also a small, but fun collection of sparrows at the same time, 
including one Fox Sparrow singing like it was Spring.  One Black Phoebe was 
also a nice surprise.
