We walked the river trail from east Alton Baker Park (east of freeway) to Day
Island Park, parking at end of D St, Springfield.  General lack of bird sounds;
altricial birds were few and slow to come. Most of them seen around Island
Park, but there was some activity on the river, especially around the rock
outcropping.
