We did the north trek of Mt. Pisgah (near the river) and discovered the
existence of a new trail in or near Nature Conservancy land. This generally
open area, led us to a low spot with a pond not previously known to any of us,
and the pond was full of waterfowl that contained more pleasant surprises.
Since this part was fenced and we carried no scope, the views were distant and
difficult to get actual counts.
