Yes, the new feature in XP allows you to open/close fields without being erased. You have to use the Eraser icon to clear the fields. No so in 2k...they get wiped the minute you click Protect again. SUE and DIAN Follow Dian's advice. Do not unprotect and reprotect the document. I would say your best bet would be to write your status in another file and copy and paste it to the form instead of copying and pasting within the form. I have very little experience with Word 2000, I went straight from 97 to XP. When 2000 came out, I was given a copy of PPT 2000 as a gift. As I didn't need the rest of the suite in 2000, I never bought it. Ask me about Word XP, I can answer. Ask me about 2000, I can't. I am sorry for confusing the issue. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
