Most of the world thinks Bush is evil. Does that give some other country
a right to 'liberate' us? Many Americans think Bush is evil. But even
they wouldn't welcome any outside 'liberators'?
They'd CERTAINLY welcome INSIDE liberators, unfortunately, there doesn't
seem to be a very good replacement in line.
I didn't see the movie you're discussing here, but couldn't it just have
been put together precisely to scare people?
Of course. Like I said in the very first post, it's "obviously
anti-islamist".
Imagine what a fine film the other side could put together cutting and
pasting scenes of Bush and Cheney and Ashcroft and Rumsfeld and Gingrich
and Robertson and even crazier Christian fundies spewing their hatred of
everything unAmerican to huge audiences over many years.
That happens all the time... I've seen many of these films -- made by
Americans. What was that one... Fahrenheit somethingeruther.
To their uneducated population, they could sell this as representative
of America.
You don't need uneducated population to see that Bush IS a miserable,
tragically misguided failure and I guess, by some standards, 'evil',
"whatever that means" and when he stands there after giving a speech that
someone else has deliberately crafted to sway the 'people' to believe what
he is trowelling out'' and says "god bless america" and smirks, he IS just
as brain-washed and frightening as an ayatollah or an imam chanting "Allahu
Akbar" to throngs of his admirers. That [the US] government is a fucking
disaster, and it's ruled, just as in the Middle East, by religious
ideologues. It IS scary.
And if they were militarily powerful enough to invade the U.S., they could
use it to rally their population behind their war.
The thing is... we KNOW that our idiots are evil, I don't think they [the
islamists] do.
