That's the practical approach. It really makes little sense worrying
about what you can't control.
And you can control the validation, if it sits around too long, by
self-validating.
I think that the greatest curse facing any volunteer is allowing their
egos to control.
That comes from the school of hard knocks having lived 50_+ years; when I
was young, of course, ego played a far greater role to my own detriment of
course in most instances.
