How do we know that the radar ranging is accurate?

Supporting Alan I would say so. We have been sending radio signals into deep
space and receiving echoes for quite some time now. The fact that the time
intervals would be so much longer between send and echo back, the problem of
accuracy would be less intent. Whats a few inches or even miles among
millions. They got satellites now that can issue you a ticket for speeding
here or on the moon.
