ROTFL, I almost sent a post last PM mentioning two judges who routinely
withheld, but who I WOULD DEFINATELY show to. (AND, I didn't know where the
show
was!)
This judge was one of them:) I'll show to Ed Biven. I respect his opinion.
I wouldn't show him a dog who was stagey, I wouldn't show him an untrained
dog and I wouldn't bother if they weren't clean coming and going, and for
goodness sakes you really have to pay attention in his ring, but IMHO he does
know movement and he does know breed type. He can be a curmudgeon though:)
If
he's thinking "why the heck are you showing me this dog", and you ask for an
explanation, he'll tell you and he's not one to hold back. Like I said,
would I show to him...absolutely, and if he placed this puppy second in a
class
of two, I'd say put it away for a few months and then reevaluate.
Oh....the other I was thinking of who will withhold...Jean Fournier. I once
saw her withhold an entire class open bitches (not our breed). OMG the
drama since a few of the open bitches only needed singles. Jean usually is
smiling though and Ed is usually scowling <G>.
