1080p30 has been there from day one; 1080p60 exceeded the maximum number of
samples permitted per second per MPEG-2, so it wasn't permitted until
recently.  I think the most recent modifications that permit AVC in ATSC
world (A/68?) permits AVC 1080p60, and should with VC-1 eventually the
latter as if someone would do that ...

How about 1080p? I don't recall this being on the ATSC format list.
Does it exist only in HDTV sets as an upconversion capability, and as an
