Proclaims Craig. That's crap, and history proves it.
History is about to DISPROVE it Bert.
This was not the first time that the appeals courts ignored the law in order to
protect an over reaching government agency. In the past few years this has been
commonplace. It is called Forum Shopping.
As I quoted already several times to you, Craig, the DC court TOLD the FCC,
"If you want to mandate neutrality, you have to use Title II." When the FCC
complied, the court agreed. Reclassification sailed through, the neutrality
mandate sailed through. This is nothing more than 100 year old history
repeating itself.
It is nothing more than naked political gerrymandering. The only reason this
case has not been appealed to the Supreme Court is that the offending decision
is about to be undone.
What cable modem service has a 200 GB per month cap Bert. Please stop
creating false straw men.
Gee, Craig. I dunno. As often as you do this, check before asking? Remember
now? A cap of 250 GB may never have been enforced, as they say here, but even
300 GB could be not enough.
http://time.com/money/4353512/att-home-internet-data-caps/
it is more than enough if you subscribe to a low data rate tier. Note the
article if focused on the 1 TB caps that are almost universal today when you
subscribe to a tier that can support HD video rates.
Nope. The 4.5G MIMO radios that T-Mobile is already deploying
are software upgradable to 5G.
As always, do the numbers, or you always miss reality. Assume even 15 b/s/Hz,
for 4G MIMO, and then tell us, Craig, how much capacity that 600 MHz spectrum
will provide to T-Mobile. Simple computation. How does it compare with 10
Gb/s of 5G cells?
As multiple articles I have posted point out, this is a capacity versus
coverage issue. And your 10Gb/s 5G cells can only reach this capacity over VERY
SHORT distances. But the BIG issue you are completely missing is that MIMO
allows much more effective spectral use. It is no longer a case of measuring
how much capacity can be delivered per tower; you must now take into account
how many individual beam-forming antennas can be support in the MIMO antennas,
and for fixed broadband, how the receiving equipment can be optimized for
reception of signals from a distant antenna.
Of course, anyone bent on hype, such as you are, can redefine anything they
want as "5G." The phones may well be upgradeable to 5G at the flip of a
switch, but they have to use a lot more than the 600 MHz spectrum to be
credible, as 5G devices.
The flip of the switch I am talking about is the radios that T-Mobile is
deploying in these 600 MHz cell sites Bert. Obviously, 5G cell phones will need
to work with many frequencies using many standards, as they do today.
Can't you smell hype when you read it? Do the numbers, Craig. Think back at
the nonsense you've been spouting on SFNs and on what the Internet is. Same
thing here.
You are misinformed Bert. Or just too damn stubborn to take the time to
understand what T-Mobile is doing.
Regards
Craig
