Yeah, I guess, Robert. Any US citizen who doesn't remember where they were that day is probably an asshole. A major asshole.
For Obama to assume that there were that many assholes in the audience was a gaffe. But no need to lie down ... the media didn't pick up on it at all, neither did the Republican media attack people.
I can imagine the 15-second attack ad though: SHOT OF PLANE HITTING SOUTH TOWERSHOT OF OBAMA WITH VOICEOVER: "'You know, a lot of you remember the tragedy of 9/11 and where you were on that day..."
