Ok... apparently something is blocking access to the file. You know... =
it is entirely possible that you have defective sectors on your hard =
drive and that Firefox is located on those sectors.

How would you know for sure? Well, you can't. BUT... you can run a scan =
on your drive for errors. Do this step anyways, cause it will help =
eliminate the possibility of bad sectors.

Open MY COMPUTER. Right-click on the drive in question (most likely the =
C drive) and select PROPERTIES. Go to the TOOLS tab, and then under =
ERROR CHECKING hit CHECK NOW. When the little settings screen pops open, =
place a check mark in AUTOMATICALLY FIX FILE SYSTEM ERRORS and SCAN FOR =
AND ATTEMPT RECOVERY OF BAD SECTORS.

After the scan is done (which will take awhile) then try backing up your =
mozilla again. Do it a little different this time. Restart the computer =
in SAFE MODE and attempt to do the same thing... back up the folder. =
SAFE MODE can be achieved by restarting the computer and hitting the F8 =
key at the right time. What's the right time? Well, normally it would be =
right after the post beep. But, I myself just literally tap F8 over and =
over and over again at a rate of about 2 presses per second. Just keep =
tapping until you see the menu that gives you the option for SAFE MODE. =
While pressing the F8 key so many times, you might start hearing "BEEP =
BEEP BEEP" for each tap you give. Ignore the beeps and continue pressing =
until that menu comes up. Then, select SAFE MODE. Once in Windows, then =
try the backup again.

It seems I was too hasty in expressing a bit of relief. The back-up
is at a standstill. Well, not fully: the papers are still flying from =
one
file to the other, there have been just black marks on the "thermometer"
for over 1/2 an hour, and it's been saying "15 seconds remaining" for
all this time!
What do I do? How do I fix it, knowing that the file has been saved?
