If there is no need of off-air receivers then you would think there is 
also no need for off-air broadcasters and we can just reclaim ALL the 
spectrum.

I think that if the company that stands to gain the most from the 8VSB 
IP says it is not economically justified to either build boxes or 
license chips then we might as well just believe them, and stop hoping 
for working 8VSB receivers.  We can do something else.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 
FreeLists.org 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
