Yep, follow those instructions to the "t". ESPECIALLY make sure you
delete the .kext files listed there! These are kernel extensions which
are the bits of code that caused your kernel panics (the Mac OS X
kernel is stunningly robust given how easy it is to write code for
it... but, if the code is sloppy it'll bring your computer to a
grinding halt).

PS I'm quite surprised that they chose to use a kernel extension to do
what "proxy" filters would have done very nicely, with a lot less
hassle (there are lots of ad/pop-up proxy servers Aladdin could've
used from the open source software collection that they could've
repackaged and sold... and, given that this program is non-functional
and irrelevant for Mac users...).
