Great. So you are suggesting I should get the hell out of ilugc since
I'm not a native Tamil speaker? Go and join lug-Cochin or something
despite living in Chennai for the past several years?
This utter thoughtlessness is why I have been resisting this
particular move. You like it or not, Chennai is a cosmopolitan city
where a number of different linguistic and cultural groups co-exist -
any interference from anyone to impose a common language or culture is
bound to misfire badly.
For your information, there are sizeable Tamil-speaking population,
both in Delhi and Bangalore - grouping Indian metropolises under
linguistic criteria simply does not work these days.
