Also since physical presence of a person is the least significant factor as
far are mailing list communications are concerned, should it be that all
Regional Mailing lists also communicate in English?
One mailing list in the so proclaimed common language should serve the
purpose.
If techies are willing to join and reply/ share thoughts in Regional Mailing
Lists in the regional Languages... then.. there won't be this problem!
We have ILUG-D where it can be English & Hindi. We should have ILUG
Bangalore, where it can be Kannada & English etc.,
Users perspective stops at usage level. Users can be putting question like,
How to configure Evolution? Why I can't see a web-page in Tamil Properly?
What is a root user? What is free software? How can i chat using Gaim? How
do I get the MP3 support in Amarok? etc., its like asking... ????????

for putting such questions why should language be made a barrier?
Time has to come when they grow to level to ask questions may be like.. What
is Hurd? What is Shell Scripting? How do I configure Mediawiki ? etc.,
shall we give it a try? I prefer and love to ask in Tamil...
