Quite so.
The issue is to enable non-english speaking users of FOSS to have
their doubts cleared too. To that end, hindi speakers can post
queries in hindi with [hindi] in the subject line... or [Oriya],
[Telugu]... whatever.
I'm with you so far.
Users who are not interested in reading those mails can configure
filters in their mail client to trash them straight away!
This is not a matter of interest, but one of ability: no
amount of interest could lead me to readily decipher Tamil.
So, if a Tamil speaking Debian user has a question to ask,
they are effectively denied any insight or ansers I might have been
able to provide them.
The problem with having separate mailing lists is that the native
language lists will see poor patronage by the 'problem solvers'.
The point I am trying to get across is that the 'problem
solvers' might not have a grasp of Tamil.
