We have come across many instances where a member posts a query in such poor
english that we don't even understand what he/she wants!! Perhaps if we
allowed them the freedom to ask questions in Tamil, chances of their doubts
getting cleared could be higher.
I, for one, am against requiring knowledge of english as a qualification to
post to this list. Of course, there is the possibility that it becomes
extremely difficult for non-tamil speakers to understand discussions -
especially ones which have replies in english and tamil in the same thread.
Why not give this experiment a chance! We can follow a guideline that
specifies that all replies to a post should be in the language of the
original post. Maybe qualifying the subject with [Tamil] could help
non-tamil users to discard them!
