This is a technical
mailing list, or so I thought. beryl or Linux is language independent
and for most part, it is thought to be English (may be I am wrong, I
am not checking references even if that is against the guidelines).
Exactly. at this juncture of history.. Yes! we have to accept this. Wantedly
or un-wantedly English has forced its way. May be a "single/ independent
mailing list" in English shall/ can fulfill this commonly desired result.
LoCo Teams as in Ubuntu can have their own Language as medium of
communication.
For reasonable growth of the readers, targets being those who cannot
reach the advantages of a technical education of the city standards,
it is correct to give out documents in their local languages.
Agreed! We ought to do that!
But to
truly empower them, they must be taught another language which most
technology currently speaks. I am sorry if the purpose of the group is
not such empowerment.
I would suggest formation of community (off-course it exists without knowing
its existence) which acts as an interface between that language of today's
Technology and their own native languages...
When this community have access/ knowledge to both the languages why not it
do it?
it should be the duty of this community which represents very little section
of the entire mass to whom we all desire the technology has to reach! rather
than expecting the huge mass to adopt a new language (which will off-course
take generations for sure unless forcefully implemented!)
more people know 26 alphabets and they can even manage to read words using
them.
The problem is to put them together into sentence and to express them with
confidence. This is where mother tongue comes handy!
