I was not even aware of it until the show was over. Helen is right, as she often is. Of course, since she is doing the National, this year she is never wrong for a least a year. Think how much pressure that must be on her. I showed a dog one time, and won the five point major. The judge, in jest, said to me, "I can't give it to you on both sides." I looked at him and said, "You won't have a choice." I then won a five point major on my bitch. Judges judge the dogs, and seldom even notice who is handling. At least that is how it works on good judges. I would guess if you didn't have confidence in your judging ability, you might want to look at the handlers. I can't think of many German shepherd judges who would do that. This is a breed you need to know in order to judge.
