Kathy, when I am meeting with committees, we/they
don't always know which model, what the church might
be willing to do with respect to modifications of the
room, and many other facets of the process. I do talk
in general terms but I do not arrive a final price
until almost the very end of the process. I realize
committee members are volunteers and that their time
is valuable but so is mine. I schedule my time to
meet with them and the chairperson can't even get his
entire committee to show up for my presentation, or
the demonstration but yet he/she will allow these
individuals who have not attended any of the meetings
to have a vote. This happens more times than you can
imagine. Members should not accept the task if they
can't make their schedule work so that they attend ALL
of the meetings.

What would you suggest for my pipe organ customers?
There is no way for me to deal in prices with them
until the very very end and the specs are completed
and space requirements allocated etc. Each of my
Rodgers installations are somewhat customized and
until I get to the end of the process, I don't really
know my exact price. This has never been a problem
with my customers to my knowledge.
