I have used both Partition Magic and the partition manager of the Linux Distros. The most recent Linux distros - Mandrake 9.1 & Redhat 9 - have excellent partition managers as part of the install setup. This said, I agree with Wyatt, I have always used this approach. Though I have no personal knowledge (shortage of money), the lastest SuSE distros seems a step above the pthers.
