Originally the area was called Great Marsden and the top part of Brierfield was called Little Marsden.The Lord Nelson pub was built on the coaching inn site afew hundred yards from the r/way station.The pub is where we had our wedding recption. I saw that news clip. I didn't know that Nelson was named after the railway
station (which preceded it) and that the railway station was named after a
coaching inn - the only object in the area when the station was built. And
yes - the pub was named after Horatio.. <g>
