Where I find the progress bar most annoying is trying to download music from
WinMX. The progress bar is incessantly telling me "4 percent, 4 percent, 5
percent, 5 percent" and so on. You could not expect to do anything else
unless you closed that window and kept WinMX in the "Search" window. To
make matters worse, if I'm downloading more than one song at a time, the
progress bar might try to announce each line that has a progress bar, and
that gets really annoying.
So selectability is key for me. I may want it for some apps, but I really
don't need it for something like WinMX.
I'd love to see adjustments for example, that would tell me when something's
50% done, 75% done and finished. I don't need it telling me every percent
nor every 10 percent.
Maybe others see this issue in a whole different light than I do, these are
just my 2 cents worth.
