I was partly wrong above, different apps take different parts of the title
bar to put under the icon. This I believe is true of all versions of RISC OS.

Datapower puts the file name though the title bar prefixes the file name
with the drive name if brought over a network. 
Edit puts the first 10 characters
Filerwindows put the directory name
Oregano2 terminates at the fisrt space
Fresco after 10 characters which can include spaces
