Q 7.1.2: Do we support multiple audio datatypes (e.g. float, double, int)?

I vote (a). I know 32 bit float will work fine for 99.99% of the cases, but there are reasons to allow other types. 64-bit float could be useful for graphs with feedback loops, for example, constructing a EQ filter by assembling unit delays and gains, etc. Integer datatypes could be useful for hosts that are using GMPI to interface to a hardware/DSP accelerator.
