Dear Kellie,
This discussion on the ellipsis has been fun and informative. I was writing
it wrong with no space before or after it. I'm very glad to know how to
write it correctly as it's currently my favorite punctuation mark. My
favorites in descending order are

Oh, yes, and I love throwing in *, asterisk, when ever I can though I have
no idea what it's for. I just love picturing text sprinkled with stars.
Here's an interesting thing about the ellipsis. If I write three periods
followed by a space, jaws says dot dot dot. If I press insert 4 and e until
I here, "ellipsis," and press enter, the computer makes 3 dots but jaws
calls it, "ellipsis."
I can't even imagine how I approached a computer before learning about the
insert 4. I use it constantly! It always reminds me of this list at its best
where help is given instead of criticism.
Always with love,
Lissi

Yes for sure to the fourth period. I think when an ellipsis appears
between
sentences there is a space on either side. I thought there was no space
before them when they're within a sentence, but could definitely be wrong
on
that. I once asked an art director with a perfectionism complex how they
should be written, and even he thought it was too insignificant to matter.
But this is the asylum for deranged perfectionists, where nothing is small
enough not to matter. <big grin>
