Hey all,
I am a new member so I wanted to introduce myself.
My name is andy, I am 42, I have RP and currently live in Louisiana.
I have been trying to use audacity on my 6 year old computer, but had many
difficulties so I waited, and I bought a new/refurbished computer and
installed audacity. It works great, if I could only get the hang of it.
I downloaded tutorials by rich destino, and that is where I also received
this list contact.
I don't know if much has changed, but his tutorial is for version 2.0.04 or
something and I downloaded version 2.1. something.
I am trying to reduce noise, I leave about ten second at the beginning so I
can us it for noise reduction.
I press space to playback the recording.
P to pause it.
Left square bracet to set the start fo noise.
P to play.
Count to five.
P to pause.
Right bracket to set the end of noise to reduce.
Alt c to open the effects menu
N for noise reduction
The next screen tells me that I need to select a few seconds of noise to
reduce. what am I not doing right in the process?
