Hi Louise
First, what version of Audacity are you using. I'm using the latest version,
and the effect you want called "Vocal Remover (for center-panned vocals)".
Press alt+C to go to effect menu, and up arrow afiew time, you'll see it.

Thank you for sending the tutorial. At least now I know how to do the
basic editing. I have a question about vocal remove. I listened to the tutorial
but I can't find the vocal remove in the effects menu. Do I have to change
