[audacity4blind] new member

Hello:
I just signed up to this list.
I have heard over the years great stuff about audacity so I thought I would
use it. Please keep in mind that I have only been using audacity for
10-minutes now so I am a beginner. Here is my question.
I imported a file, I have a part of the audio that is a mess up, so how do I
remove that part from the audio when playing it back?
I'm using audacity 2.0 and jaws 14. Please provide clear and concise steps
as I am new to this program.
I am googling for tutorials from a blind perspective as we speak but if
someone can get me started that would be awesome.
